Inking and Colouring Process

Taking some screen shots of my inking and coloring process.

Scanned in penciled drawing and imported into toonboom.

In toonboom I ink the lines with the paintbrush tool and taper the ends with the eraser tool.  For long strokes I use the pencil tool to help with curves.

Changed the design of the oafish character to look more like a caveman.

Colouring in toonboom I export the colour art and line art separately as .png's.

In photoshop using clipping masks I add texture layers and start improvising a background for the characters messing around with composition.
